Truck Farm
by Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis. What is a citydweller to do when he can't grow his own food? In 2009 these citydwellers inherited Fayette Plumb's'86 Dodge half-ton truck. So they drove it to NYC and turned it into a 20-foot traveling farm! What's more, they delivered fresh vegetables to their customers doors, directly from the farm (which is to say, the truck!)

 On THURSDAY

the LAGUNA BEACH FILM SOCIETY

also presents our February feature

QUEEN OF HEARTS
(Reine des Pommes, French with English subtitles)
at South Coast Cinema, 162 S. Coast Highway, Laguna Beac
h

"Queen of Hearts" begins as Mathieu (Jeremie Elkaim) breaks up with Adele (Valerie Donzelli), leaving her devastated. All she wants to do is die. But unwilling to go that far, Adele turns to her distant cousin Rachel (Beatrice de Stael) . Reluctantly at first, her cousin agrees to help. They become friends. Rachel becomes exasperated with Adele's obsession with Mathieu and urges her to sleep with others to get her mind off him. Adele does, and soon finds herself torn between three men, each very different from the others.

Le Monde calls Queen of Hearts "Elegant, original, hilarious, full of life and full of grace. Variety calls it "An endearingly goofy spin on looking-for-love-in-the-big-city comedies... frequently hilarious."
